Karl and Ash threw a house warming party turned surprise – “it’s actually our wedding reception, and we eloped this morning”!
This is what I love about Elopements, each one is unique. For Karl and Ash the thought of standing in front of heaps of people exchanging their personal vows just didn’t appeal, so instead they picked 2 friends each and headed to a waterfall to have a private ceremony.
We live in such a beautiful country, there’s no need to travel across NZ to elope, and Karl and Ash proved this by getting wed at the local waterfall literally at the end of their street. It was private, beautiful, and incredibly heartfelt. The perfect wedding for two laid back Kiwi’s – although I’m sure the surprise party later that evening was anything but laid back lol!
